I went to the Bible looking for answers to my important questions. I came across the apostle Paul, He is the most prolific bible writer, and he claims that he was taught by God himself. So, I asked him my questions.
ME: Hello brother Paul, how many Gods are they?
PAUL: There is no God but one. 1 Corinthian 8:4
ME: Come on Sir, I was taught that there are three Gods in one.
PAUL: even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”), yet for us (Christians)there is but one God. 1 Corinthian 8:5.6
ME: And who is this one God Brother Paul?
PAUL: There is but one God, The Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live. 1 Corinthian 8: 6
ME: Can you be clearer about who he is?
PAUL: The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms – Ephesian 1:3
ME: Thank you Paul for clearing that up for me. But if God is the Father, then who is Jesus?
PAUL: He is lord. 1 Corinthian 8: 6 (b)
ME: What is the difference between God the Father and our Lord Jesus?
PAUL: There is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. 1 Corinthian 8:6
ME: what else can you tell me about The Father?
PAUL: Besides the fact that he is the father of our Lord Jesus Christ? Well, He alone possesses immortality [absolute exemption from death] and lives in unapproachable light, whom no man has ever seen or can see. 1 Timothy 6:16
ME: I am confused here, Isn’t Jesus Immortal? But them again he died, immortality cannot die? But Jesus didn’t die, he still had life to raise himself from the grave. Didn’t he?
PAUL: Have you not read where Peter accused the leaders of putting “to death the Prince of life, the one whom God raised from the dead” Acts 3:15
ME: Wow! So God raised Jesus from the dead?
PAUL: Yes, if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9
ME: Okay Sir, you told me that there is one God, the Father and that there is one Lord Jesus Christ. Then who is the Spirit?
PAUL: Now the Lord is the spirit and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. . 2 Corinthian 3:17
ME: Seriously? The Lord Jesus is the Spirit?
PAUL: Yes, and we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthian 3:18
Me: Why is that?
Paul: It is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 1 Corinthians 15:45
ME: Come on Paul, you told me that the Lord is Jesus, and even I know that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. Whose Spirit is living in me?
PAUL: “You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you.” Romans 8:9
ME: Wow! You are saying that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and of Christ. Thank you, Paul.
Me: One last question Sir, what would you say to those who say that God is a trinity?
PAUL: “There is no God but one.” 5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”), 6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. 1 Corinthian 8:4-6
